AAI Alumni Reunion

Reception 9965

AAI alumni, trustees and other guests gathered for a group photo.

AAI alumni, trustees and friends gathered for an Alumni Reunion on Sept. 1 at the InterContinental Hotel in Lagos, where alumni of AAI scholarship and training programs reconnected, shared life updates and heard about exciting, new initiatives from the organization.

Laughter and chatter peppered throughout the room as alumni and current participants of AAI’s Transformational Leadership Program (TLP) feasted on Nigerian cuisine, reconnected, and shared life stories.

Keynote speeches on leadership development in Africa were delivered by alumni Nik Amarteifio, ASPAU ’70  and AAI Board Trustee and Kunbi Wuraola, TLP ’10.

Alumni and other guests learned more about how to become involved with AAI’s Future Leaders Legacy Fund, a new scholarship fund that will provide bright, yet underresourced African students, with the opportunity to study in top-performing African universities. Scholarship recipients would also be the first in their family to attend university. The Fund will ensure that African universities benefit by receiving increased resources to retain and educate students.
