AAI President to Receive Distinguished Service Award from Brigham Young University

BYU Award2AAI President Amini Kajunju will accept the Distinguished Service Award from Brigham Young University on October 16 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Ms. Kajunju is the first African to ever serve at the helm of The Africa-America Institute (AAI), the oldest nonprofit organization of its kind in the United States.

A graduate of BYU’s David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies, Kajunju will share share her incredible story, “Personal Journey and the Story of a Rising Continent”, at the awards ceremony.

A native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kajunju will give students insight into a career working in Africa at a lecture entitled, “Making Africa Part of Your Career” at BYU.
