Meritxell Roca serves as the Academic Program Manager for the African School of Economics at Princeton University. Born in Barcelona, Spain, Roca worked as a senior researcher at Open University of Catalonia (UOC), performing research on free software, media stereotypes and mass media in a digital environment. She also teaches communication at Blanquerna School of Communication (Ramon Llull University).
Prior to joining Princeton University, Roca worked as a staff associate at The W. Edwards Deming Center for Quality, Productivity and Competitiveness (Columbia University). She has also held positions as visiting scholar at The New School in New York and the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles.
She received a B.A. in Journalism and a Ph.D. In Communication and Humanities from the Ramon Llull University.
