In January 2007, AAI launched a redesigned website which is now online at www.aaionline.org. The website highlights the achievements of AAI's 22,000+ alumni and provides a platform in which friends, supporters, alumni and colleagues can learn more about AAI programs, events and activities. The site provides an easy-to-use interface for visitors to learn more about and participate in AAI's work: expanding educational opportunities for Africans, and educating civic, business, government and political leaders in the U.S. about Africa.
The site features profiles of AAI's alumni and a full archive of AAI's events. We invite you to visit www.aaionline.org and welcome your ideas and feedback.

These programs provide a platform for African perspectives that informs U.S. policies towards Africa, and presents American policymakers, journalists, and citizen advocates with balanced information about Africa.
In 2006, AAI hosted several Africa-focused education, outreach and policy events in New York City and Washington, D.C. Several of AAI's 2006 events are listed below. To read more about past AAI events, please visit our News & Events Archive.
