Dear Friends,

Please note: President Mahama will deliver the inaugural Chinua Achebe leadership forum lecture on Monday, December on 9th, 2013 at 4 pm at Bard College and not the earlier scheduled Tuesday, December 10th, 2013. Please adjust your schedules where possible.

We are thrilled that this arrangement makes it possible for His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama of the Republic of Ghana to deliver the first Chinua Achebe leadership forum lecture, participate in the round table discussion and Q&A at Bard College, Annandale on Hudson, New York, as earlier planned; and still make it to the memorial service of OUR deeply respected and beloved Madiba – President Nelson Mandela, on Tuesday December 10, 2013. As part of the proceedings on Monday, there will be a special moment of silence and appreciation for President Nelson Mandela’s life and work.

Thank you for understanding this unforeseen change.

Respectfully,

Chidi Achebe MD, MPH, MBA
for the organizing committee
