Yeda centred her acceptance remarks around the importance of training and educating young people for the future development of Africa. She said they are the future.
“It’s an opportunity not just for Africa, but for the rest of the world. If we’re able to train African youth to be productive and effective members of society, then the whole of the global community will stand to benefit,” Yeda said in New York City.
