AAI President Amini Kajunju attended The Corporate Council on Africa‘s special luncheon with H.E. Thabo Mbeki, former President of South Africa and chair of the High Level Panel on Illicit Financial Flows, on February 4 in Washington,D.C.

H.E. Mbeki was joined by a high-level delegation that discussed the group’s work in addressing illicit financial flows, corruption and transfer pricing in Africa.

The delegation included Mr. Olusegun Teniola Apata, Former Ambassador and Chairman, Coca Cola Bottling Company, Nigeria; Mr. Raymond Baker, Director, Global Financial Integrity, USA; Dr. Zeinab Bashir El Bakri, Former Vice-President of the African Development Bank, Sudan; Mr. Abdoulaye Bio-Tchane, Former Minister of Finance & Economy, Benin; H.E. Henrik Harboe, Director, Development Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norway; Prof. El Hadi Makboul, Director, National Centre for the Study & Analysis of Population & Development, Algeria; Barrister Akere Muna, President, Pan-African Lawyers Union; President, ECOSOC; Member Eminent Persons Panel of the APRM; and Vice President, Transparency International, Cameroon; and Ms. Irene Ovonji-Odida, Chair, Action Aid International Board, Uganda.

The panel discussion also featured private sector perspectives on the issue.
