The Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship is now accepting applications, through one of our partner institutions, Ashesi University. The Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship Program was established in 2017 between the Jim Ovia Foundation and Africa-America Institute to provide high-achieving students, from underserved backgrounds, a fully-funded college education in Africa. 

The $2 million pledge by Mr. Jim Ovia, Founder & Chairman of Zenith Bank and the Jim Ovia Foundation, paving the way for students to attend university at two prestigious universities in Africa, Ashesi University in Ghana and Covenant University in Nigeria.

In 2018, 23 students were selected to receive the Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship; thirteen scholars attend Ashesi University, and ten are attending Covenant University.
